Tough Short-Travel Keyboards

Sept. 12, 2006
A range of industrial short-travel keyboards provide tactile feedback for the user, and are designed to offer exceptional reliability for the food & beverage industry.
These keyboards can withstand the demands of heavy industrial cleaning, up to IP68 standard. All short travel keyboards use high quality OMROM mechanical switches on a reinforced PCB which also contains the keyboard controller. A 3mm thick aluminium plate is placed over the top to protect the keys and PCB from any heavy impact. The 150µm thick Autotex polyester frontsheet is wear and tear resistant, with legends printed on the underside, and is also resistant to most industrial chemicals, says the vendor. The keyboards are available in desktop, 19 inch rack-mount or panel mount versions. The keyboards are sealed up to IP65 specification and are available with trackball, IP68 optical trackball, capacitive/resistive touchpad or joystick. The keyboards have USB connectivity as well as PS/2. Indukeywww.indukey.comPhone: +49(0).3.74.68.650.0
