Compact CPU

Sept. 12, 2006
Designed to integrate into the vendor’s X20 modular control and I/O system, the X20 CPU is compact, at just 37.5mm wide.
In its standard design, this CPU is equipped with a 100Mbps Fast Ethernet interface that can be used either as the online interface or for networking. A CAN and RS232 interface is integrated as well. Because the CPU’s design and dimensions correspond to the X20 system, I/O modules attach seamlessly to the right side of the CPU, saving space in the switching cabinet. Rail mechanics allow the complete system to be mounted on the rail like a rack and taken down just as easily, says the vendor. An extended CPU design is also available, equipped with a 25mm-wide slot for X20 interface modules. This allows the entire range of additional interface modules such as Profibus, DP, CANopen and DeviceNet to be used.B&R Industrial Automation Corp.www.br-automation.comPhone: 770.772.0400
