Compact Coriolis Flowmeter

June 1, 2006
As a new generation of compact, highly integrated Coriolis flowmeters, the Sitrans FC300 DN4 flowmeter has a maximum capacity of 350 kilograms/hour (772 pounds/hour).

With dimensions of 135x205x58mm, or 5.3x8.1x2.3 inches, the FC300 is about half the size of comparable devices, says the vendor, and weighs just 3.5 kilograms (7.7 pounds). Designed to be impervious to process generated noise such as vibrations, pulsations and pressure shocks, the FC300 delivers a stable flow signal with a large turndown and an accuracy of better than 0.1% of rate. The precision-made flow tube also offers a liquid density accuracy of less than 0.0015 grams/cubic centimeter (0.09 pounds/cubic foot). The FC300 is offered in a standard temperature version with maximum operational temperature of 125ºC (257ºF) and a high temperature version with maximum operational temperature of 180ºC (355ºF).
