Web Server Features Ethernet

May 1, 2006
A data exchange capability that enables communication between several of the vendor’s MicroSmart PLCs over an Ethernet network is one of multiple features that are bundled into the Web Server Module.

Other features include remote maintenance, which allows remote monitoring, downloading and uploading of any ladder program; Web monitoring, allowing browser-based PLC monitoring or updating with a custom, built-in monitor dialog box; alarm messaging, which enables up to 32 messages to be send from the Web Server Module to an e-mail address or cell phone; O/I connectivity, meaning the vendor’s touch screens and MicroSmart PLCs can communicate even when located in separate areas; and password protection, which secures the system against unauthorized access.
