The PI Protocol Converter continues connectivity from OSIsoft’s PI System and client applications to the DeltaV digital automation system, a key component of the PlantWeb digital plant architecture from Emerson Process Management.
The new integration technology enables process manufacturers to use PI clients directly with the DeltaV system and extends historian connectivity to continue the long-standing alliance between the two vendors. End-user systems with DeltaV v7.4.1-and-later include an Emerson-developed DeltaV Continuous Historian, and the new PI Protocol Converter enables OSIsoft client options including PI DataLink, PI ProcessBook, PI ActiveView and RT Portal to connect directly to the DeltaV Continuous Historian. The PI Protocol Converter also supports the PI-to-PI Interface to provide full connectivity to the PI System. The PI Protocol Converter including technical support is provided at no charge to OSISoft and DeltaV licensees, and Emerson will enable the DeltaV Continuous Historian connections at no charge.
