The Telemecanique Altistart 01 soft start family is designed to provide sophisticated starting and stopping for motors in an extremely compact footprint.
The Altistart 01 soft start is offered at three different performance levels to match the needs of a wide range of fractional and low horsepower (1/4 to 75 HP at 110 to 575 volts) single-phase and three-phase asynchronous motors. Most models of the Altistart 01 soft start are just 45mm wide, the standard width for IED low horsepower motor starters. Providing smooth motor starting control for applications that do not require high starting torque, soft starts limit the stress on the mechanical parts of a machine and reduce cost of maintenance and downtime. They provide an affordable alternative to variable speed drives for lower-horsepower, full-speed machines. The Altistart 01 soft start can be used to add the benefits of soft starting to any existing motor starter and is well-suited for retrofit applications.
