Smart, High-speed Sensing

Feb. 1, 2006
The ZS smart measurement sensor combines 2D CMOS imaging with precise laser measurement to create a high-speed, high sensitivity inspection system.

Its 110ms response time and 0.25ms resolution enable it to inspect moving workpieces and capture data on the fly. Five sensor heads are available for the ZS for sensing different surface types at distances ranging from +/-1mm to +/-50mm. Data is transferred between the sensing head and amplifier via high-speed interface. Stackable amplifiers support up to nine sensing heads for a scaleable inspection solution. The ZS amplifier is priced at $1,450, and sensor heads range from $2,450 to $3,450.
