Real-time communication is simplified with any programmable logic controller with the introduction of embedded OPC software in the latest version of Telemecanique Vijeo Look SCADA software.
Vijeo Look v2.6 works out- of-the-box with any Modicon PLC and can be configured to work with third-party PLCs. Real-time data acquisition is performed using OPC Factory Server v3.2, which is included in Vijeo Look software or available separately. The enhanced communication capability means it is able to retrieve up to 5,000 variables in less than 60 seconds, says the vendor. The software’s configurator loop also automatically prompts a user if a network device cannot be found, allowing remedial action to be taken. Vijeo Look v2.6 is an all-in-one package that includes basic programming features and graphical tools as well as other reconfigured capabilities in addition to communications.
