Control Unit for Safety

Jan. 1, 2006
Despite a small installation width of just 22.5mm, the 470221EU01 Central Control Unit includes two completely independent safety circuits.

The first circuit monitors sensors with an open-close contact system. Up to 25 sensors can be connected via interfaces. The second circuit monitors emergency stop buttons with short-circuit detection and start button. The compact module is well-suited for potentially hazardous machinery since it detects, for example, the improper opening of doors or covers, and also provides an emergency stop function. The Central Control Unit is designed for easy installation. The user simply inserts the connections from the sensors and the emergency stop switch into the 4-wire terminals, which establish contact without screws. The Central Control Unit complies with Category 3 of EN 954-1.
