Access Drives Without Wires

Nov. 1, 2005
Users of Allen-Bradley PowerFlex AC drives and legacy Scanport-enabled Allen-Bradley drives can wirelessly program, troubleshoot and monitor their drives using a handheld PC with Pocket DriveExplorer software.

Eliminating the need for a direct, wired connection, Pocket DriveExplorer allows access to drives through a Wireless Interface Module (WIM) linked to a Pocket PC. Access to drives through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi networks saves time and effort needed to carry and connect communication cables. Wireless connections also help improve safety by eliminating the need for users to open panel doors.
