On-machine Connection Box

Nov. 1, 2005
For a compact IP67-rated I/O and pneumatic solution for direct mounting on machines, the IE2808 IP-Link Extension Box offers 16 digital 24VDC outputs at a low price per channel, says the vendor.

A 25-pin D-Sub connector provides a cost-effective connection to the outputs. Each channel is short circuit-proof and offers diagnostic capabilities. The IE2808 is well-suited for direct connections to valve terminals in wet, dusty and other demanding industrial environments. The 16 digital outputs for connecting digital actuators are provided on a small mounting surface of 30mm by 126mm. The IE2808 offers 0.5A at 24VDC for each channel, with total current of 4A for all connected outputs. The IE2808 can be connected at the control level via I/O Coupler Box modules with a variety of fieldbus interfaces, including Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen and Ethernet.
