Camera Link Frame Grabbers

July 1, 2005
A family of frame grabbers that support the Camera Link digital communications standard, the MVS-8600 Series frame grabbers are well suited for high-resolution and high-speed machine vision applications that require very fast processing of large quantities of image data.

The MVS-8600 frame grabbers use state-of-the-art digital hardware that supports up to 12-bit image acquisition and is less susceptible to noise than analog frame grabbers, says the vendor. The high-speed acquisition of the MVS-8600 ensures that line speed will not be impacted, even when acquiring high-resolution images. By incorporating triggers and general purpose I/O on board, the MVS-8600 frame grabbers eliminate the need for additional I/O hardware in the PC. For line scan applications, encoder inputs simplify synchronization of the vision system with line speed, saving time and money.
