The Illuminos software development toolkit allows the user’s radio frequency identification (RFID) solution to interact with multiple RFID hardware vendors’ readers and printers.
Multiple options are available for using Illuminos. It is available as an independent software development kit for automatic information systems developers. Integration services are also available to IT and supply chain managers for passive RFID integration. In addition, vendors may license the electronic product code coder/decoder to integrate the latest EPC data standards into their EPC-compliant firmware. Illuminos is designed to reduce the software development time for EPC compliant readers and data structures, and can minimize integration complexity. It can also eliminate multiple interfaces for multiple RFID vendors’ hardware, and provides a rapid implementation path for EPC and unique identification compliance. Illuminos supports Alien, Matrics and Intermec hardware.
