Bayonet Locking for Plug Connector

July 1, 2004
The vendor’s Heavycon-Advance rectangular plug connector housing is now available with bayonet locking. Heavycon-Advance is particularly suitable for applications in which the connector will be plugged and unplugged.

Operation is simple with the bayonet latch, says the vendor. On the mounting side, two small flanges have replaced the standard mounting base, which lowers the cost compared to traditional rectangular connectors. Heavycon-Advance housings meet IP 76 requirements. Constructed from aluminum die cast, they are available in three finishes: standard for rugged requirements such as the automotive and machine industries; corrosion resistant for use when chemicals and thermal influences are a concern; and EMC for shielding protection.
