Sense at Greater Distance

April 1, 2004
The E2A line of extended range proximity sensors offer 1.5 to 2 times the sensing distance of standard range proximity sensors, says the vendor.

This extended range allows users to mount the sensors further away from tooling and workpieces, eliminating collisions and subsequent damage to sensors. The E2A sensor is available in more than 220 models, with sensing distances from 2mm to 30mm. The sensors come in M8, M12, M18 and M30 sizes in shielded and unshielded construction, NPN or PNP output, a range of barrel sizes and materials, and a choice of wiring options. The sensors feature a thick housing to minimize damage from over-torquing during installation. Built-in wrench flats and LED operation indicators facilitate easy installation and maintenance. E2A proximity sensors are available from stock starting at $57.
