Use in Harsh Conditions

Jan. 1, 2004
The SITRANS PD 500 is a two-wire capacitance flow-through level switch for product quality control and interface detection in liquid pipe systems.

Designed for use in extreme temperatures (-328°F to 392°F) and pressures (full vacuum to 725 psi), and with toxic chemicals, the unit is suitable for applications in the chemical, petrochemical and power generation industries, and on any ferrous or non-ferrous piping system. The flow-through electrode provides reliable, high-accuracy measurement with no sensor obstruction in the pipeline. Its enhanced electronics offer HART communications for remote configuration and inspection. It also features a one-point calibration and integrated local display for on-site installation and set-up. Diagnostics comply with NAMUR NE 43 for both local and remote diagnostics, where all relevant variables are shown at the same instant.
