The expertise of process control authority Greg Shinskey is incorporated in the Control Consultant, an expert system that has been added to the vendor’s flagship PlantTriage plant-wide performance monitoring product for the process industries.
Control Consultant was developed in conjunction with Shinskey, who is the author of numerous books and has lectured extensively for 50 years on control applications, the vendor says. “Many of our clients have very subtle and often misleading symptoms from their automation systems and often don’t have enough time to solve many of the problems found in operating plants,” says John Gerry, president at the vendor. “We developed the Control Consultant to assist them in getting the right answers as fast as possible.”
