Detect Compressed Air Leaks

Jan. 1, 2004
The Metris sensor is designed to monitor compressed air systems to identify leakage areas to improve energy efficiencies. The Metris sensor can be mounted in a supply pipe to monitor one machine, or mounted in a plant zone to monitor several machines.

During machine operation, the sensor compares a machine’s ideal air consumption to the actual air consumption. Any difference in the two readings indicates an air leak. The Metris sensor is fitted with an integrated 1/2 inch or 1 inch diameter pipe for easy mounting and correct installation depth. The sensor’s 4-digit numeric display provides air consumption readings and features microprocessor-based pushbutton setup. Display options are SCFM (standard cubic feet/meter) SCFH (standard cubic feet/hour) and SCF (standard cubic feet/totalizer mode). The 24VDC unit provides three output options: switching, analog and pulse. List price for Metris sensor models ranges from $590 to $630.
