Designed for rapid deployment in plant floor applications, NetSight II integrated machine vision systems offer a range of capabilities in an 8-by-7-by-3 inch package.
“Non-realtime operating systems and delays caused by network traffic are two areas where both industrial PCs and smart cameras can become out of sync with items on a production line, possibly rejecting good items and passing failed items,” says Steve Geraghty, director at the vendor. The NetSight II system was designed to overcome these and other problems, he says. It includes a powerful processing engine, high performance camera interface and flexible software tools, the vendor says. The NetSight II architecture supports simultaneous image acquisition from multiple cameras and incorporates standard factory interfaces, including Ethernet, USB, Firewire, parallel, serial and audio communications connections.
