As the latest release of the vendor’s enterprise manufacturing intelligence software, VisualPlant 4.0 has been rewritten based on Microsoft .Net technology to accelerate creation of new applications to exploit the data, reports and KPIs collected and created by the software.
VisualPlant is designed to provide seamless, enterprise-wide visibility of plant-floor production data. The package provides real-time collection, analysis and reporting of manufacturing data from multiple sources, including CNC equipment, sensors, PLCs and gauges. VisualPlant 4.0 features two new optional add-in modules, one for integrating data collected with ERP systems such as SAP, and the second for statistical process control activities. Other new 4.0 features include improved enterprise administration, manufacturing alerts, enhanced security and improved reporting. VisualPlant 4.0 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2003.
