Operator Panel

Oct. 1, 2003
The G303 text/graphical panel is the first of multiple operator interfaces under development using the vendor’s new G3 platform.

The G3 hardware platform used with Crimson configuration software features ease of use and broad communication and computational capabilities. The G303 includes up to five serial communication ports, which can be configured to communicate at up to 115Kbaud with devices including most PLCs, motion controllers and PID controllers. The G303 comes standard with a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port, which can be used for remote communication and Web diagnostics. Configuration databases can be downloaded to the unit via its RS-232 programming port or USB port. Both the database and runtime are stored in 4 Megabyte on-board flash memory.
