Trip or Transmit

Oct. 1, 2003
PC-programmable temperature transmitters and alarm trips accept direct signal input from a variety of sensors and other analog devices, including 23 RTD types, nine thermocouple types, current and voltage signals, resistance and potentiometer devices and direct millivolt sources.

The CPA Limit Alarm Trip provides one- or two-alarm relay outputs when a monitored process variable falls outside of user-set high and/or low limits. The CPT Temperature Transmitter provides an isolated and linear current or voltage output—any range within 0-20 mA or 0-10V—that is proportional to the input. The signal is ready for direct interface with readout instruments, PLC, DCS or PC-based SCADA systems. Both devices feature 20-bit input resolution, up to five years between calibrations, signal isolation, RFI/EMI protection and rugged metal housings that snap onto DIN-style rails.
