Modular Data Acquisition

Aug. 1, 2003
A modular, distributed personal computer-based data acquisition module for process monitoring and distributed I/O is designed to perform reliably even in electrically and environmentally harsh environments.

Supporting up to 1,200 distributed universal channels from a single PC, the MX100 DACMaster offers isolated, true differential inputs through every universal input module. The MX100 is rated for 3700VAC of withstand isolation, 600VAC of channel-to-ground isolation and 600VAC of module-to-module isolation. The unit’s main module serves as the data acquisition engine, supporting up to six measurement modules on the MX100 backplane, and also provides local area network connectivity. A CompactFlash memory slot in the main module ensures automatic and continuous data backup in case of network or PC failure. A built-in power supply in the main module accepts 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz input.
