EtherCAT I/O Delivers Smart Functionality

Oct. 1, 2011
New series of EtherCAT I/O blocks for high-speed EtherCAT systems are based on the company’s CJ2 programmable logic controller platform.
The compact GX-Series includes digital, analog and pulse I/O modules to support machine automation with high-speed input functionality and microsecond on/off times that leverage EtherCAT’s fast cycle times. GX-Series provides an extensive array of modules for EtherCAT, including digital I/O modules, relay output units, analog I/O modules and encoder input modules. All GX-series slaves support automatic and manual address setting; manual addressing by rotary switches allows easy system expansion or modification without reprogramming the control system.
