CSE-Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has introduced enhanced integral cyber security protection for its TBox Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) products in supervisory, control and data acquisition (SCADA) applications.

The TBox Cyber Security Suite brings network-level security measures to SCADA systems -- allowing implementation of common, proven, measures instead of customized programming at the RTU level. The result is much quicker and a considerably less expensive implementation of cyber security in SCADA applications.

Now available as standard firmware for TBox 32-bit RTU platforms, the Cyber Security Suite allows users to meet existing and emerging industry requirements. Customers can select from a wide range of functions that includes authentication, encryption, firewall protection, HTTP Secure, SFTP, SSH, TLS/SSL, and a virtual private network. For reporting within IT networks, the suite also provides broad implementation of the simple network management protocol (SMNP).

CSE-Semaphore's TBox architecture enables the complete integration of programmable automation, alarm management, data logging and IP telemetry in a single, rugged package. The platform leverages Web technologies and push messaging via e-mail, SMS text and FTP. TBox systems are easy to configure and offer dramatically reduced costs versus traditional PLC and SCADA architectures.

CSE-Semaphore's RTU products are ideal for a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the oil & gas production, oil & gas distribution, power, broadcast / telecom, transportation and water / wastewater industries.
