Coming in widescreen high-speed or compact models, the new HMI video capability allows images to be captured when alarms or
triggers sound, accepts live and recorded video, records general plant
surveillance and the information can be stored on removable devices,
such as a SD card or USB drive.
The new integration also allows cameras to connect to an HMI and view or
record live video of an application in NTSC or PAL formats. It can also
connect two cameras and import video on two different channels to the
HMI. As part of the graphic HMI system, a media player component provides image
review and analysis. Applications for the media player include video tutorials for
operational procedures, messages and crucial warnings can be viewed to
increase operator effectiveness. Supported file formats for the system
are mov, mpg, mp3, wmv, flv, avi and wav.The graphic HMI models come with USB and serial ports (some with Ethernet) and a high-resolution TFT display. Maple Systemswww.maplesystems.com
