Portable Oscilloscopes for Harsh Environments

March 3, 2011
The ScopeMeter 190 Series II portable oscilloscopes feature four, isolated input channels for differential floating measurements.

IP-51 rated, the product's four channels can inspect input signals, output signals. feedback loops or safety interlock simultaneously. Measurement capabilities include signal amplitude or shape variations, induced noise, signal timing measurements, synchronization, attenuation, fluctuation and drift. The portable oscilloscopes have a sampling rate up to 2.5 GS/sec and 400 pico-second resolution, along with 100 and 200 MHz models.

Applications include testing variable speed motor drives and inverter power electronic technology used in alternative energy generation and transportation. For those energy applications, users can view and measure harmonics, transients and loads in three-phase power systems. It can also troubleshoot dc to ac converters for faulty insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) and control circuits.

The device comes with Li-ion battery technology (up to 7 hours), external charger and two USB ports.
