EtherCAT Encoders

Dec. 22, 2010
Measuring 80 x 58 mm, the new high-speed Absolute ATD EtherCAT encoders offer fast positioning, speed control and motor feedback due to communication between drives and control systems in multi I/O equipment.
Suited for robotic and automation systems, the single or multi-turn encoders are compatible with the CANopen over EtherCAT (COE) protocol and offer 14-bit single-turn and 16-bit multi-turn resolutions. These encoders are used on robotic arms, robotic pick-and-place systems, automated packaging lines, material handling equipment, laboratory automation equipment, medical imaging systems, printing equipment and textile process machines. Other features include reduced costs due to Power over EtherCAT power and field bus signals one cable solution. Baumer Group www.baumer.com>> More Baumer blog posts.
