Beckhoff Automation introduces the new CU8890 WLAN adapter that offers wireless integration of Industrial PCs into an Industrial Ethernet network.
  When the USB-to-WLAN adapter connects to an industrial PC, the controller assists the fieldbus-neutral exchange of all UDP/TCP-based data and can be utilized as both an access point and a client. Client drivers are available for Windows XP, Embedded Standard and Windows CE, and all Beckhoff Industrial PC and embedded PC series; software drivers for Windows XP and Embedded Standard make possible for the adapter to work as an access point. Other highlights include: a reverse SMA plug; support of the WLAN standard IEEE 802.11 b/g; a free-field distance between two modules up to 984-ft (300m); and a user can choose between 11 channels in the 2.4 GHz band, to adhere to country-specific regulations where necessary.  Beckhoff Automation More Product info, click here.
