Remote I/O Modules Receive BTL BACnet Certification

June 1, 2011
Advantech's BAS-3000BC series of remote I/O modules have received BACnet certification, approved and listed by BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL).
BACnet (www.bacnet.org) is a data communication protocol for building automation and control networks that is of increasingly  interest to industrial machine builders. The BTL BACnet certification confirms that these devices meet the required standards and testing has been carried out using the BACnet testing procedure in an accredited laboratory. Four modules in the BAS-3000BC series are certificated as BTL BACnet Smart Sensors.  The BAS-3018BC 8-ch universal input module  The BAS-3024BC 4-ch UI, 4-ch AO, and 4-ch DO module  The BAS-3050BC 8-ch DI, 8-ch DO module  The BAS-3051BC 16-ch DI module. With the BTL BACnet certification, the BAS-3000BC series have proven that they can serve as BACnet MS/TP remote I/O modules through an RS-485 network and be integrated with BACnet DDC Controllers. In addition to the products receiving certification, Advantech is now a member of BACnet International, allowing Advantech's BAS-3000BC remote I/O modules series with the BTL mark to be listed on the BACnet International website.
