Hartness International announces the sale of its FlashBack division to Scott Townes, former owner of Piedmont Travel, one of the premier travel agencies in North America. Scott is an energetic, sales-orientated entrepreneur with whom Hartness has worked with for many years. Scott has already been on several FlashBack sales calls and has personally seen the excitement generated during those visits. The newly formed company will be completely focused on the growth and expansion of the Flashback product line. This move will enable the company to focus on continued innovation and will expose FlashBack to growth opportunities beyond the industries on which Hartness currently focuses.
The new name of the company will be FlashBack Vision Solutions. The company will have a single core focus...Vision Systems. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the sale is that the FlashBack core team will remain intact. Keith Cooper, a Hartness veteran, will lead the newly formed sales team. Technical development and service will continue to be headed by Trevor Honeywill, a long-term employee of the Flashback business unit. Joe Lard will technically support Trevor’s new ideas and be involved in software development. Chris Hughes will continue as the hardware designer and service technician. The entire staff will be moving across town into a new location at 135 Edinburgh Ct. Hartness International will continue to utilize FlashBack technology on its equipment. Hartness will also supply the basic parts until the new company gets firmly established.
