Automation vendor Omron Automation and Safety (www.Omron247.com) announces its PLC programming training course schedule for late summer/early fall 2012, which enables attendees to complete basic to advanced level courses in seven business days. Courses are held at Omron’s North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, which is near Chicago O’Hare airport.

Mindful of tight travel budgets and the difficulty getting away from daily job responsibilities, Omron implemented a week-and-a-half proficiency approach that allows attendees to complete PLC programming basics, intermediate and advanced courses in seven business days. Dates in August, September and October are available.

The intensive hands-on courses present real-world automation challenges typically encountered in plant operations, and are designed to prepare students to design, use and troubleshoot the systems efficiently. Students use Omron’s CX-One automation software to program PLCs, develop human machine interface (HMI) screens, set up networking, simulate system interactions, and configure motion controllers, drives and temperature controllers.

Omron Corporation, headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, is a multi-billion-dollar company with business units producing industrial automation products, electronic components, healthcare equipment and ticketing systems. Omron Automation and Safety provides automation and machine guarding solutions for industrial applications.
