Dec. 12, 2013
The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS), the leader in the design, manufacturing and deployment of embedded computing systems, monitors and displays, a GSA schedule contract for their pre-designed, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) displays and systems.
AIS was awarded contract # GS-35F-041BA, under the IT Schedule 70 designation for general purpose IT equipment, products, software and services, (categories 132 8 for purchase of new equipment and 132 12 for maintenance of equipment, repair services and/or repairs/spare parts).
Established by President Harry Truman in 1949, the GSA was introduced to streamline the administrative work of the federal government and to oversee the business of the U.S. federal government. GSA IT Schedule 70 offers federal, state and local governments solutions to their information technology needs. IT Schedule 70 is the largest, most widely used acquisition vehicle in the federal government and provides direct access to products from certified industry partners such as AIS and their portfolio of ruggedized control and monitoring solutions.
AIS COTS Display Computers and Monitors for Military & Aerospace Applications
Offering a wide range of military embedded computing systems, including ruggedized military display monitors, computers and tablets, AIS control and monitoring solutions are ideal for an array of military and aerospace applications under the newly awarded GSA IT 70 schedule contract. Their military rugged displays and computer systems are specifically designed for the Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) military marketplace, and engineered to withstand the extreme harsh environment and stringent demands of MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 standards; and deemed suitable for ground mobile, homeland defense, and ship board applications.
AIS Offers COTS-Based Embedded Computing Solutions & Displays for Marine Projects
A variety of ruggedized display monitors and integrated display computers for marine applications are available from AIS for the GSA IT 70 schedule contract as well.  AIS marine ECDIS display monitors, marine display monitors, naval rugged displays, naval rugged display computers, and marine panel computers are designed to operate and withstand the challenges from the maritime environment, and highly suitable for use in: the Combat Information Center (CIC) on board surface ships, combat ships, submarines, and military vessels, as well as for bridge control display, navigation, monitoring and ship automation applications.
AIS marine monitors and computers comply with marine equipment standards IEC 60945, DNV 2.4, and IACS-E10 needed to withstand harsh maritime environment requiring low EMI or long-term vibration resilience.
AIS Ruggedized Computer Displays for Defense and Homeland Security Requirements
Protecting interests at home and abroad in changing environments and locations for the military and government is an ongoing and difficult challenge. It requires military and homeland security solutions that can be implemented quickly, affordably and efficiently. AIS military embedded computing solutions are swiftly deployed and can operate from any domestic, international or military location while delivering the highest levels of performance and reliability. Supporting military projects and standards with high-performance embedded computing solutions, AIS manufactures rugged commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based displays, monitors and tablets that withstand the harshest environments to meet specific customer requirements conforming to military and government specifications. AIS offers standard and custom configurations that will fit any project requirement. From mechanical design, system platforms, add-on options, to post-sales support, AIS can take a project from start to finish with substantial development time and cost savings.
