Both are designed with 2 Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports to fulfill EtherCAT and real-time operating system requirements; 4 external USB 2.0 ports, 1 internal USB port, VGA display, programmable LED I/O indicators, isolated DI/DO, and 2 or 4 PCI slots, respectively, for peripherals.
