Feb. 8, 2012

The software now operates on control systems ranging from 200 to 10,000 I/O points, providing a single-development environment and an inexpensive integration method using a simple, text-file-based electronic data sheet. An enhanced open-socket interface provides integration to other types of products as well. Newly added automatic device replacement for Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 755 drives automates field replacement in a running system. The software extends CompactLogix 5570 controllers into safety-related applications by adding support for GuardLogix 5572S and 5573S safety controllers. In addition, the QuickConnect functionality provides faster start-up for key applications like robotics tool change, requiring just 100 milliseconds from powering up the QuickConnect device to the time the component is fully operational on EtherNet/IP.
