The tablet PC comes loaded with the company's DevCom2000 smart device communicator software and includes a Bluetooth HART modem. The entire kit is contained in a hard plastic carrying case for ease of transport to the work site. The unit is fully configured and ready to work right out of the box, with no software to install or hardware to configure. The included software comes pre-loaded with all of the DD's registered with the HART Communication Foundation, which enables users to use it immediately without the need to download DDs from various instrumentation suppliers. The included tablet PC uses the Windows 7 operating system, which allows the use of programs such as Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. The full keyboard is detachable which makes it lighter and more mobile, but can easily be reconnected to enter data or write reports.
