Molex, Inc: ControlLogix Connections to Ethernet and Serial Networks

The new firmware release of the SST Ethernet and serial communication modules (supporting Windows 7 32- and 64-bit platforms) can connect Modbus and Siemens industrial Ethernet to the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix controllers.

SST Ethernet and serial communication modules feature I/O process data images in ControlLogix CPU memory.  Users can access the entire SST module data base memory corresponding to 32,000 bits and 32,000 word registers to connect multiple slave devices such as variable frequency drives, temperature controllers and weighing systems.  Process data handling can reach thousands of words if the SST serial module is configured with four simultaneous Modbus master channels to four Modbus networks.
