When you need to communicate beyond Ethernet's copper distance limits, and putting in new fiber cabling is just not an option, Acromag's Ethernet i2o peer-to-peer I/O modules are your solution. With the simple addition of an Ethernet extender, we can put your low-cost 2-wire twisted pair cables to use.

Replace your old "Wire Saver" or "Cable Concentrator" and refresh your system. Easily achieve 10/100 Ethernet connections across any previously existing copper wiring (coax, single twisted pair, etc.) by pairing Busworks XT Series I/O modules with an Ethernet extender. These I/O modules support Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP, or Profinet communication to your control system.

This combination is perfect for extending the distance to devices such as controllers/sensors, security devices, alarms, pipelines, substations, or other industrial and outdoor applications.
