Featuring Intel Celeron and Core i7-3 processors on an HSCI hardware platform, this industrial PC provides increased computing power and a significantly improved graphic performance while consuming less power than past models. The unit is intended as an additional, remote station for operating a machine tool or machine units such as a tool-changing station. The remote operation, which was designed for the company's TNC controls, permits simple connection via an Ethernet connection with cable lengths of up to 100 meters. Starting and remotely operating Windows-based applications is simple, and since Windows runs on the industrial PC, it does not influence the NC machining process. A second display is not necessary since the Windows applications are displayed on the TNC's screen via remote access. The operating systems Windows 7 or 8 can be installed on the hard disk which is ordered separately. The unit comes with four USB 3.0 ports, two Ethernet 1 Gbps ports, an RS-232C port, connection for a 24 V power supply and a VGA interface. Suggested applications include individual automation solutions, operation of Windows software from an OEM and remote access to the company's iTNC 530 contouring controls.
