Ocular LCD, Inc., a leading supplier of industrial touch panels, today announced the addition of 3.5, 5.7 and 12.1-inch projected capacitive touch panels to their standard product offerings.
Crystal Touch, Ocular's premier line of projected capacitive touch panels, is an all-glass solution that provides enhanced optical clarity, extreme durability and true multi-touch functionality. In addition to custom touch panel designs, Ocular also has standard product offerings of their Crystal Touch: True Multi-Touch and Crystal Touch: True Multi-Touch PLUS projected capacitive touch panel products.
"We offer standard sizes to reduce design time," said Paul Massey, sr. vice president of marketing and sales at Ocular. "Reducing design time allows for faster delivery and will ultimately reduce costs. We designed our standard offerings around past customer requirements and commonly available TFT displays. We continually review customer input and product demand and have found it is clear that expanding our product portfolio to include these new size offerings will benefit our customers. Our standard sensors are commonly used as a starting point for most custom designs. Taking a standard touch panel and adding a few customizations, such as a logo or glass treatment to the cover glass, doesn't add much to the overall design time."
Handheld devices will benefit from the new 3.5 and 5.7-inch options and industries such as medical and marine can utilize the new 12.1-inch standard product. The Crystal Touch standard product portfolio now ranges from 3.5 to 18.5-inches diagonally.
