Wago: I/O System for Harsh Environments

May 12, 2014
The WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 XTR combines the features of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM with expanded specifications for use in extreme environments.

The system is designed to operate at temperatures from -40 to +70 °C (-40 to 158 ºF) and at elevations of up to 5000 m (16,400 ft). Vibration resistance of 5 g (50 m/s²) and a shock resistance up to 25g (250 m/s²) per IEC 60068-2-27 allow the system to be used in equipment such as off-road heavy mobile equipment, or in rotating tools found in mining or tunnel boring machines. The system offers reliable protection of the electronics against impulse voltages of up to 1.0 kV (24 V modules) and 5.0 kV (230 V modules). At the same time, interference emissions are reduced and interference immunity is increased, allowing the system to be used in telecontrol applications with more stringent hardware requirements. With up to 16 channels in a 12 mm wide housing, the modules save space in the control cabinet, and can be mounted on a DIN rail near powerful motors or power circuit breakers without regard to the mechanical forces exerted in the vicinity of those components.
