AMETEK Process Instruments has released the Western Research Model 9900RM, an advanced UV gas analyzer suitable for single or multi-component quantitative measurements.
AMETEK Process Instruments has released the Western Research Model 9900RM, an advanced UV gas analyzer suitable for single or multi-component quantitative measurements. Free from H2O or CO2 interference, this next-generation gas analyzer measures UV-absorbable gas phase species with maximum accuracy and precision.
The Model 9900RM can be configured to measure nearly any gas species that absorbs energy in the UV range. Up to five components can be measured simultaneously making the system highly economical for multi-component analysis needs.
The analyzer features high-intensity, line source lamps, which deliver reliable dry gas analysis with a fixed wavelength, with resolution to 0.02 nm and accuracy to 1% of full scale. Interference prevention from moisture or CO2 allows for precise readings. An optional paramagnetic oxygen sensor also is offered to provide O2 corrected concentrations.
The Model 9900RM uses AMETEK’s proprietary high-resolution UV technology in a dual-beam, multiple wavelength configuration. A six-position filter wheel enables one reference and five measure wavelengths. The dual-beam configuration, combined with the reference measurement, ensures low-noise performance with minimal baseline and span drift.
The rugged Model 9900RM meets Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA) testing requirements and can be rack, wall or bench mounted. The versatile unit additionally offers unparalleled reliability and digital connectivity and is durable enough to be installed outdoors in a wash-down, hazardous, and environmentally harsh locations.
The simple and robust design of the Model 9900RM is complemented by powerful data processing capabilities. The user-friendly keyboard enables programming of such variables as timing and frequency of local zero and span checks. Both analog and digital inputs are available as well as serial communications via Modbus/RS485 and Ethernet/web interface.
