DNP3 is widely used for communication between various types of data acquisition and control equipment, this protocol enables outstations to create a reliable link to a provider's SCADA system and other equipment. Scalable Smart Grid controllers are available in Ethernet 2.0 to meet the needs of individual applications independent of location-specific protocols, while the universal Smart Grid solution support IEC & DNP3 protocols. The company's WAGO-I/O-PRO configuration software simplifies parameterization for any application. This CODESYS configuration tool ensures easy integration in accordance with IEC 60870-5-101/-104, 61850-7, 61400-25 as well as DNP3. Substations and wind and solar energy producers can now easily monitor their distribution grids in wide-ranging production locations.
