The SDLM-016-032-01-01-M direct drive linear motor with an integrated encoder and temperature sensor is a new addition to Moticont’s SDLM Series. This motor is the smallest of the series of linear motors featuring zero backlash, zero cogging, high acceleration, high speed, high resolution and long life. The motor is 15.9 mm in diameter and 31.8 mm long. Fully enclosed inside the motor housing, a 1.25-micron resolution linear quadrature encoder directly connected to the shaft provides accuracy with zero backlash. This new motor has a stroke length of 6.35 mm, a continuous force rating of 1.14 N, peak force of 3.61 N, and 1.08 N/A force constant. Connections can be made via a flex cable terminated in a 10-pin female connector.
Parker’s F Series in-line flow control valves have either fine or standard metering needles for flow control and a guided poppet for free flow in reverse direction. The guided poppet design eliminates wobble and erratic travel that can commonly occur with less durable ball check type construction. The standard soft seat poppet on these check valves provides near zero leakage and comes standard in sizes up to ½ in. Options include oil and air metering valves for hydraulic and pneumatic application. Port options include ISO 6149, NPT, BSPP, BSPT and SAE. Material offerings are brass, steel and stainless steel. A tamperproof option is also available.
SVTM Series mechatronic joints are compact and precise actuator units with an integrated high-resolution absolute encoder, brushless motor, hollow shaft and zero backlash gearbox. SVTM units are available in two size options: 118 mm and 153 mm, with options for customization. The brushless motor provides efficient and smooth motion, while the absolute encoder ensures accurate position feedback. The hollow shaft allows for wiring or component integration through the joint, like the SVTS A series of slip rings. The zero-backlash gearbox eliminates mechanical play, resulting in highly accurate and repeatable movement, ideal for robotics applications requiring high precision and minimal latency.
The new Movotrak CTU (cobot transfer unit) 7th axis is plug-and-play system for quick implementation into various robotic functions to add a horizontal operating range up to 10 m to boost productivity and output. Unlike other 7th axes, this CTU has collision detection functionality similar to a cobot joint. Users adjust collision sensitivity settings on a control tablet during setup, and the Movotrak CTU motor drive and digital I/O manage collision monitoring and shutdown. The system also includes a small reverse-move feature that eliminates pinch points following a stop.
