Billed as a breakthrough real-time manufacturing intelligence application, Proficy Real-Time Information Portal 3.0 is designed to allow users to gain business insight from plant data in real time.
By providing visibility into plant floor operations, the Web-based application enables real-time decision support, continuous process improvement and enhances the return on current and future IT investments, says the vendor. The 3.0 release enhances Proficy Real-Time Information Portal’s capabilities in three areas. First, it offers a tighter integration with the vendor’s production management software such as Proficy Plant Applications. Second, the context of plant floor data is improved with new tools to represent it, like dials, gauges, and a heat map.
