Energy Management Road Shows Announced

March 21, 2012
Building on a partnership created last year, Opto 22 will sponsor eSight's Energy's live road shows for the rest of 2012. The energy management road shows are a series of live events delving into the role of power monitoring and energy analysis in improving building, factory and industrial plant energy efficiency.

Energy management has taken on more significance at plants and factories since the downturn, as management retooled their thinking and started to look at how real savings could be executed. This spring, eSight Energy kicks off its energy management road shows with 5 live events taking place in various locations in the United States and Canada, including Toronto, Chicago (Schaumburg), Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Houston.

Temecula, Calif-based Opto 22 (www.opto22.com), a supplier of controllers, I/O and software products, is sponsoring the last 4 eSight Energy energy management road shows that will provide facility managers and others responsible for managing energy use the opportunity to learn how to use eSight Energy's energy analysis software, used in conjunction with Opto 22's OptoEMU Sensor energy monitoring appliance. The combination of software and energy monitoring offers the ability to "see" plant energy data via a dashboard, allowing for pro-active management of energy data (see demo). Also at the road shows, attendees will also be able to examine real-life case studies to discover techniques to effectively manage energy usage, network with industry professionals and share ideas for implementing energy management programs. The next Opto 22 sponsored event happens in Schaumburg (Chicago Suburb), IL, on May 30th and the next non-Opto 22 road show is March 27th in Toronto (currently sold out).
Brittany Streiner, business development coordinator at eSight Energy, says, "Having Opto 22 at our road shows will be a great opportunity for guests to not only learn about the eSight energy management suite, but also to see how we integrate seamlessly with the OptoEMU Sensor. The joint offering creates a full end-to-end solution to help facility managers reduce their energy usage and achieve ROI in less than 12 months."
