April 12, 2013
Balluff, automation supplier and U.S.subsidiary of Balluff GmbH, broke ground yesterday for a $6 miillion expansion expected to bring 24 new jobs to the area.

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear welcomed a full house of Balluff employees, company officers from Germany, local dignitaries and members of the local press at a groundbreaking ceremony in Florence, KY yesterday.

Kentucky was ranked number two last year in net jobs created, said the governor.  And there are many companies from Europe, and especially Germany, which have brought more than 24,000 permanent jobs to the region, he added.

Balluff, supplier of sensing, networking and identification devices, is investing in a new 48,000-square-foot customer support, training, and sales and marketing center.
