Stainless Steel Photoelectric Sensors

Sept. 13, 2016
The PD30ET Series from Carlo Gavazzi complements the company’s PD30 photoelectric sensors, with AISI316L stainless steel housings.

With an IP69K environmental rating and ECOLAB certification, the sensors operate reliably even in harsh environments. They can withstand high-pressure wash-down, aggressive cleaning agents, harsh disinfectants and high temperatures frequently found in the food & beverage industry, as well as material handling, packaging, agriculture, and mobile equipment. Units are available in diffuse reflective for extreme wide angle (200 mm, 7.87 inches) or long range (1 m, 39.37 inches); in polarized or non-polarized retroreflective using red or infrared light; as well as through-beam types. Background suppression using an active pixel sensor is also available, in visible red or infrared light. The AISI 316L stainless steel housing measures 11 x 21 x 31.5 mm (.43 x 0.83 x 1.24 inches), and the sensors mount on 25.4 mm ( 1 inch)-spaced M3 holes. Both NO and NC outputs are available, in NPN or PNP versions. Input power is 10-30 VDC, and the sensors are cULus, ECOLAB, and CE approved with IP67, IP68 and IP69K ratings.
