Current Sensors Can Be Directly Mounted on Busbars

The HCME series from HARTING reliably measure currents up to 5500 A with precision.
Jan. 22, 2018

Mounting on busbars for quick installation and easy pre-assembling of power electronics, the sensors use the open-loop measurement principle that provides a direct representation of the primary current with an accuracy to ±1%. They can measure direct or alternating currents, even if they have complex waveform, over a frequency range from 0 to 50 kHz and feature high immunity to interferences, e.g. caused by the magnetic fields of external current-carrying conductors. The wide temperature range from -40 to +85 °C allows deployment under extreme environmental conditions. The sensors come in standard sizes — 6 cm high and 14 cm wide — and their compact design offers a high degree of freedom for integration into individual applications. Suggested applications include PV inverters, frequency converters or power supplies for welding applications.
