Kuebler’s Sendix S36 Motor-Line encoders are compact, with a maximum resolution of 2048 SinCos / revolution or 24 bits fully digital.

With a size of 36.5 x 37 mm, they feature a tapered shaft or an 8 mm hub shaft to reduce the number of different models required for different applications. The single small size allows for several performance levels that previously required at least two different encoder sizes. Optical electronics provide a resolution of 19 bits, with a choice of BiSS or RS-485 (Hiperface 1) compatible) interface and a choice of 1024 or 2048 ppr SinCos. A new connector design ensures signal continuity even under high shock and vibration. Operating temperature is -30 to 120 °C (- 22 to 248 °F). Maximum speed is 9000 rpm continuous and 12,000 rpm short-term. The encoders are suitable for use in safety-related systems up to SIL2 or SIL3 acc. to EN 61800-5-2 and PLd or PLe to EN ISO 13849-1 in conjunction with controllers or evaluation units, which possess the necessary functionality.
